In a promising development, the latest findings from CPA Australia's Business Technology Report 2024, in collaboration with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), shed light on the significant strides made by Indian businesses in embracing cutting-edge technologies. Surpassing other surveyed markets, a remarkable 23% of Indian businesses have already integrated AI into their operations, with an impressive 73% gearing up to expand AI implementation in 2025, well above the global survey average of 52%.


Moreover, the report underscores that 60% of surveyed Indian enterprises are focused on fortifying their cybersecurity measures, outpacing the global average of 47%. This proactive approach towards cybersecurity reflects the commitment of Indian businesses to safeguard their digital assets in an increasingly interconnected world.


Professor Dale Pinto FCPA (Aust.), the esteemed Global President & Chair of the Board at CPA Australia, articulated the deep-rooted bonds between India and Australia that extend beyond mere trade and diplomacy. He emphasized, "Australia and India share a partnership founded on shared values, deep connections, and mutual aspirations. Given this robust relationship, India plays a pivotal role in CPA Australia's global strategy."


Prof. Pinto further highlighted the strategic collaborations with key Indian bodies like ASSOCHAM and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to promote knowledge sharing and support business professionals in India in addressing evolving market demands. The recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CPA Australia and ASSOCHAM underscores their joint commitment to fostering collaboration, enhancing professional skills, and advocating global best practices.


Chris Freeland AM, the CEO of CPA Australia, reiterated the organization's dedication to empowering professionals with the requisite tools, knowledge, and global perspectives necessary to navigate the complexities of today's business landscape.
