In a meeting with Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan on Wednesday, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized the great potential for growth in India.
The young talent, thriving business ecosystem, and booming economy of India were all points of emphasis for Goyal during his meetings with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and venture investors during his current trip to the United States. The minister is in town for the IPEF meeting, which is being held in San Francisco.
The CEO and president of @MicronTech, Mr. Sanjay Mehrotra. Goyal wrote on X that they had "discussed how India's growing semiconductor ecosystem presents vast opportunities for the company to collaborate and expand its footprint in the country." The American semiconductor firm Micron is building a chip factory in the Indian state of Gujarat.
At a round table conversation with top Stanford University faculty members, Goyal discussed the enormous potential for academic institutions in both countries to work together to advance research and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.
