People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour: PM Modi


Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, on the current situation as Israel launched retaliatory attacks on Hamas.


Modi made clear on October 10 that India rejects terrorism in any shape or form.


The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has sent his condolences and compassion to the families and friends of those who were murdered and injured in the terrorist strikes in Israel.


"I thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his phone call and providing an update on the ongoing situation. People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," he said on X.


After the militant rulers of Gaza, the Hamas, launched an unprecedented onslaught on Israel over the weekend, Israeli airplanes have been pounding the Gaza Strip.


Prime Minister Modi raised the subject of Indian citizens' security in Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was promised unwavering support and collaboration.


Health officials in Gaza report that over 900 Palestinians and Israelis have been killed in the fighting, with a further tens of thousands injured.


Captives number in excess of 150 Israeli civilians and military. Israel claims it is careful to not harm civilians when striking Hamas installations in Gaza.
