Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, President Murmu expressed her eagerness to collaborate with President Xi Jinping to cultivate mutually beneficial ties.

These sentiments emerge amidst optimistic signals from the diplomatic fronts of both India and China concerning the ongoing standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. Numerous rounds of discussions at diplomatic and political levels have been held between the two nations to address longstanding issues along the LAC that have strained relations since 2020.

Sources within the Rashtrapati Bhavan affirmed that as per customary practice, the President extends felicitations to counterparts in various countries on their national days, a tradition upheld despite the border tensions with China over the past five years. Initiated with warm greetings and best wishes to President Jinping and the people of China on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, the President also conveyed her hopes for President Xi Jinping's health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Chinese populace.
