In a video shared on social media, Garcetti was seen dancing to the catchy Bollywood tune "Tauba Tauba" from the movie "Bad Newz," dressed in a stylish brown kurta and sunglasses.
The video quickly went viral, amassing over million and more than 3,500 likes within a short span of time. This wasn't Garcetti's first foray onto the dance floor during Diwali celebrations. Last year, he delighted guests with a performance of the timeless hit "Chaiyya Chaiyya," which originally featured Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora in 1998.
At the White House's Diwali celebration, which honored the contributions of Indian Americans to the "US-India bond," Ambassador Garcetti commended the event and underscored the importance of Diwali and the invaluable role played by Indian Americans.
In a heartfelt message shared online, Garcetti expressed, “What a splendid Diwali celebration at the @WhiteHouse! As we bask in the glow of light, we also pay tribute to the immeasurable contributions made by Indian Americans, strengthening the #USIndia relationship."
