Shifting the focus to the future, Jaishankar stated, "What we are currently looking at is the future. Today, I want to discuss with you the next 25 years, which represent your future, our Amrit Kaal. It is our journey towards a developed India in the next 25 years."
Expressing optimism, Jaishankar remarked that he senses a significant turning point. He added, "The world is also observing us. I see these 25 years as a period of new opportunities, new technologies, and new challenges."
Highlighting the transformative potential of technology, Jaishankar emphasized the impact of artificial intelligence and mentioned advancements such as self-driving cars and drones.
Asserting India's ambition, Jaishankar proclaimed, "Indians don't settle for second place. We aim to become the world's second-largest economy."
Reflecting on India's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jaishankar recalled, "In January 2020, during the Covid crisis, there was a meeting of the G20 where it was said that a country that couldn't survive this would be India. However, India went on to supply vaccines to hundreds of countries."
Recognizing India's digital prowess, Jaishankar noted that the level of digitization in India surpasses global norms. He mentioned the high number of monthly transactions and compared it to the figures of the United States and China.
Jaishankar also emphasized India's progress in various sectors, including poverty reduction, infrastructure development, and the success of initiatives like Make in India.
Touching upon diplomatic achievements, Jaishankar highlighted India's proactive role during the Ukraine crisis and the inclusion of the African Union in the G20.
